A local Midhurst resident for over 30 years, he serves on both the Midhurst Town Council and Chichester District Council. With a background in financial services and communications. Married with two children, he has also served as a councillor, committee chairman and Justice of the Peace in Edinburgh, giving him wide experience of local government. He is particularly interested in planning and townscape and has considerable experience of working with conservation groups. Locally, he plays badminton after a fashion and is regularly seen avoiding potholes on his bike about town.
