A local Midhurst resident for over 35 years, he served on both the West Sussex County Council and Chichester District Council and is currently a member of Midhurst Town Council. With a background in financial services and communications. Married with two children, he has also served as a councillor, committee chairman and Justice of the Peace in Edinburgh, giving him wide experience of local government. He is particularly interested in planning and townscape and has considerable experience of working with conservation groups.
